Restore Annie's House
For several months, HFKW worked with the family and church friends of Widow, Annie Harmon, who has been deaf since age 2, to commemorate the Easter season by ressurecting her house. Shown above with her son Tony and daughter Tabatha who contacted us from the United Way 2-1-1 website, Annie sees her renovated house for the first time in more than a month during a special reveal as family, friends and the community looked on!
What an incredible witness to the goodness of God! It was difficult for Annie to express herself verbally because of her disability but as you can see from the look her on her face, words were not necessary. A very special thanks goes to the volunteers who gave of their time as well as to those who donated financially and to Floors Depot, Hired Hands, Inc., McNair Construction, Mt Moriah Baptist, and Thompson and Sons Painting. But most of all thanks be to God who worked through us during each phase of this project, to bring the lost to a resurrected relationship with HIM!
We're humbled to be used by God in this way. If you are touched by our mission, please praerfully consider giving financially or commitment to give monthly so we can help more kiddos and widows in need. Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world." James 1:27
